New To Article Marketing? The Story Of Mike B.
Mike B. is a good friend of mine. We know each other so well it’s like we’re related or something. Close friends sometimes don’t listen to each other, even when one has experience. Testosterone maybe? Who knows, maybe he just wanted to be right. It’s not like he wasn’t successful in his own endeavors, but I digress.
When I started to experience good success with my internet marketing, he got curious and decide to try his hand as well. He is pretty internet savy, but was still new to article marketing. There was lots for him to learn. I tried to give him pointers, but he shrugged me off and battled his own way.

Sitting there and waiting won’t help you get readers to your articles, you have to jump right to the point in the very beginning! Every single word must count, so that you won’t lose your readers’ attention. With that being said, how many readers do you have?
Are you dragging out your sentences, or writing very long and boring paragraphs? Get to the point already! Make your readers sit on edge, keep them entertained. How do I do this you ask? You already know that a good title will make for a great hook, so why am I telling you this? Why am I telling you that readers have short attention-spans, and need short, but right to the point articles? Why am I even telling you to just get right to the point??? You are getting the point.
Readers want to be informed, but they hate wasting time, much like you and me. A reader sits on edge when they are bombarded with useful information, like how-to’s, tips and tricks, and when you leave them hanging for the next paragraph. You want to elaborate on each focal-point, and give detailed accounts of how each works.
End the article when you no longer need to explain, and leave your readers wanting more. What more could you ask for? If you have been reading through this article, then you are learning by example how to make your readers sit on edge. The more you know, the less you need to tell. Stay focused, for how can you expect anyone else to?
The end is coming… Do you understand what I am telling you now? The three things you will need from this point on: Title, hook, and headline. Your title will tell the readers what you are offering, the hook will grab their attention, and the headline will keep them reading.

I Am New To Article Marketing, Where Should I Start?
This is a common question when starting out. There are lots of things you need to think about. Three important things to consider are:

Eliminating Google ranking factors. How do you get on the front page of Google without learning the algorithms? You can easily find great keywords which have very little competition. Is Article Marketing The Best Free Traffic Strategy?
In my opinion, yes, article marketing gives you a chance to not only share information people are looking for, but it allows you to make a bond with the reader. You can inject your personality into your writing.
My favorite thing to do in my writing is to first make a statement. Then I describe a personal experience that relates to, and validates the statement. Remember, facts tell, stories sell. It can be absolutely anything.
If you take a quiet moment and think, you can relate any experience you had that day, to a statement. Let me give you an example.
I wrote a quick article after I watched guitar legend Steve Vai in concert on TV. It struck me how different his delivery, or performance was. Sure there are other great guitar players out there, but he differentiated himself by the way he delivered it.
My point was, how do you differentiate yourself from your competition who have the same information or product as you? What makes you different?
The more you practice this, these thoughts will just start coming to you effortlessly.
I Can’t Write Good Articles
You may find yourself saying this because of the last example I gave. Your articles may be just some basic fact by fact layout. Your articles don’t even interest you! I highly recommend using the ‘story’ exercise. Make your facts ‘pop’ by injecting a story which the reader will take interest in. Entertain your reader.
Go to ezinearticles.com for example, and type in the keyword phrase or topic you are writing about. Read the top ten articles. What makes them different? Anything? Most offer no value other than the facts they provide. That is great if the reader is specifically looking for those facts and knows what they need. But those who don’t yet know what they are looking for will not find that article any more valuable than the next.

I have given my best suggestion on how to write interesting articles above. I like to be specific and us a number in my title. For example, 5 Signs Indicating 2012 Could Be the End, or 3 Mouth Watering Meatloaf Recipes Ready in An Hour. Another important consideration is to use popular “Key Words” in your title. A great FREE tool for helping you choose Title Words is found at Google Adwords.
Hook Them With a Sharp Summary – Writing a sharp summary is important because it is make or break of whether the reader will read the article or just pass by. You baited them with a juicy title and now you want them to move on to the article and the way to do that is through witty, informative summary. In the summary you want to write a brief description of what your article is about including a couple of catchy phrases. Don’t forget to capitalize a few key words. Speaking of Key Words, use them in your summary, the search engines pick up Key Words in the summary after the Title.
Reel Them In With Original Content - This one is EXTREMELY important as far as Page Ranking is concerned. All the major search engines LOVE original well written material. The opposite holds true for material that has been duplicated and published in multiple markets. If you want to submit the same article to multiple markets, rewrite some of the content to make it original. You will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT, rank high with readers or search engines if you submit the same exact article all over the place.
There you have it folks. 3 tips to writing high ranking dynamic articles. Bait em with the Title, Hook them with the Summary then Reel them in with Original Content. If you implement these 3 easy tips, you will be well on your way to ranking high in the search engines and building a loyal reader base.

Sometimes just starting the writing process can be a challenge especially if you are a content developer due to the frequency with which you compose. It is inevitable that periodically you will be stricken with writers block which can be like quick sand. The more you stare at a blank screen searching for ideas, the deeper you sink into the mental paralysis you are experiencing. The only thing that can really help you snap out of this state is some type of ‘stimulation’ and a blank screen won’t supply that. Sometimes the best way to ‘kick start’ the content creation process to get you back on track is to gain separation or break ‘routine’ to help relax and stimulate your mind. You need this mindset in order to welcome back the creative juices that have taken a temporary leave of absence.
Here are 5 suggestions you can fall back on when writers block makes it difficult or even impossible to get into a productive content creation session!
Do Something Else
With a busy schedule and lots to do I’m sure there is always something else you have that needs to be done, just do it! Relax, it’s not like you are ditching a productive writing session in the first place is it? If you can not be productive in one area perhaps you can in another. Get something accomplished, feel good about it, relieve the tension and relax your mind. It’s really that simple!
Take Time Away
Go play! You probably need the break anyway besides a relaxed mind is a creative one and ideas will surely start ‘sprouting’ once again. I understand and appreciate the attitude to ‘stick with it till the job is done’ however when dealing with writers block this can sometimes makes things worse.
Break Routine
Perhaps a change in scenery or even your time schedule can use an adjustment to help ‘kick-start’ your creative juices once again. This type of stimulation can give you a new perspective and also boost your energy level as well!
Address Your Preoccupation
Often writers block can be caused by our preoccupation with something other than writing. When this is the case it is sometimes best to simply address the source. Once this has been done your mind will be less cluttered thereby enabling you to focus better!
Pick Up On An ‘Old’ Idea
Browse through some of your former writings and look for ideas or even pick up a topic where it was left off and elaborate on it. Most content you publish typically does not go into great detail about any one thing so choose something left ‘unfinished’ that could use more of an exclamation.
The writing process is a very natural and enjoyable experience for a content developer until such time that they become afflicted with writers block.
